Our multi-year Women’s Suffuragette program continues with our 2018 Exhibit and program “Imprisoned for the Cause.” Our most recent invitation to present our traveling program was last Thursday when Managing Director Diane O’Connor gave this program to Ticonderoga’s Torch Club at Libby’s Bakery & Cafe. Exhibit at Hancock House. On August 17th we will present another related program: “The Other Milhollands: John and Vida” — The amazing and tragically short life of Inez Milholland is well known. Her father and sister also stand out as accomplished historical figures as well. Learn about John – inventor, entrepreneur, editor of the Ticonderoga Sentinel and leader in the Progressive Movement; and Vida – suffragette and accomplished concert soprano.
