THS on the Road – Lake Luzerne

For the last few years the Lake Luzerne Senior Club have been enthusiastic attendees at the Ticonderoga Historical Society’s summer lawn musical programs.  This past summer’s event – Soldiers and Suffragettes – our World War I major musical event – the Club invited us to join them at their Veterans Day Observance.  At that time they also asked if they could use a few of our stage WW1 items for their event.  Yesterday, November 8th, I loaded up the truck with: Exhibit model of a WW1 nurse, three period posters and three flags: British, French and our WW1 era American Flag.  And I had a wonderful day in Lake Luzerene —

Here are some photographs from their Senior Club special Veterans’ Day presentation.

POW-MIA Table

( A very moving presentation by Commander Donald Keenan, American Legion Post 862.  I worked in a joint command unit that dealt with Vietnam Era POW’s and this was my first time ever being at an event that featured this presentation.  THS’s American Flag behind)

Thank you Barb, Linda, Cindy and all the others that worked so hard on this special event and the kindness shown me.

And to my new friend Pat Morin, Lake Luzerene’s Town Historian
